Utah Legal Services, Inc.  provides free legal services. Hours 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Legal Clinics
In some cities, there are free legal clinics where you can briefly speak with an attorney for advice. The list is available at http://www.utcourts.gov/howto/legalclinics/

Modest Means Lawyer Referral Program
The Utah State Bar’s Modest Means Lawyer Referral Program (utahbar.org) provides access to attorneys for people whose income is too high to qualify for free legal services, but too low to pay an attorney’s standard rate.

Limited Legal Help
Limited legal help, also known as “limited scope legal representation” or “unbundled services” is an agreement with an attorney for help with part of a case. For example, you might pay the attorney just to advise you about your case or to attend a hearing or mediation with you.
